From pandemic to planning: how can heritage organisations adapt to digital?

This interactive, in-person workshop is part of The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Digital Skills for Heritage initiative designed to drive up digital capabilities across the UK’s heritage sector. It will focus on the current and potential use of digital from audience engagement to infrastructure needs by putting heritage staff, volunteers and trustees at the heart of the solution.

Who is this event for?

The free event is open to staff members, trustees and volunteers across the Northern Ireland heritage sector. Up to five people are welcome from each organisation.

Format

Led by Dr Tabetha Newman, Timmus Research Limited and Delphine Jasmin Belisle, Heritage Alliance the session will be informed by insights from the Digital Skills and Attitudes Report (DASH) published in January 2022 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The report provides a snapshot of a unique moment in time, as the heritage sector continues to move online, not only to deal with the effects of the pandemic but also widen and deepen relationships with people and communities.

The event will consider:

  • What are your aims for the next three years?
  •  Can using digital technologies support these?

Hear how others in heritage are using digital to support their needs, and learn about the free resources available to support you now and in the future.

Participate in an honest discussion about opportunities, limitations, issues and solutions with your colleagues from across Northern Ireland.

Plus take part in the informal networking we’ve all missed!

When?

Wednesday 23 March from 12:30pm to 4pm.

A light lunch and refreshments will be provided, please let us know of any special dietary needs when booking.
