The Heritage Angel Awards are funded by the Andrew Lloyd Webber
Foundation and celebrate the achievements and determination of ‘unsung
heroes’, the individuals and groups who show passion, commitment and
initiative in tackling often challenging restoration projects, who work
tirelessly to protect their local historic buildings and keep our
heritage alive and thriving for the next generation. The awards also
feature the Maintenance Awards, led by the Historic Buildings Council
and funded by the Department for Communities, which celebrates building
owners who maintain their historic buildings to prevent a situation
where drastic renovation projects are required. We will also be
revealing the winner of the Public Vote, voted for by you!
As in previous years, the Heritage Angel Awards features Heritage In
Song, curated by Brigid O’Neill. We have some fantastic artists creating
bespoke songs celebrating Armagh’s unique buildings and history. The
artists will be revealed soon!
The night will be a fantastic celebration of Northern Ireland’s heritage and the people who care for it, with special guests including Joe Mahon and Marie-Louise Muir. The evening will be hosted by Wendy Austin MBE.
Book early to avoid disappointment.
Please be aware that the awards night will be filmed.
